Mixed-level classes that explore a movement
vocabulary to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination
and to discover LAVA's methods with acrobatics, trapeze,
and composition.

Mixed-level class that focuses on flexibility and strength while teaching turning and tumbling on the floor and mini-tramp.

COMMUNITY CLASS FOR KIDS -- DROP-IN -- FREE
This drop-off class is open to kids with a desire to discover acrobatics without
the full commitment of an entire session, or to practice skills they've
already learned. Open to beginners, newcomers, and enrolled students.

INTRO TO LAVA ACROBATICS FOR ADULTS

Designed for beginners, this class is a great introduction to
LAVA's methods with acrobatics, trapeze, and composition.

LAVA COMPANY CLASS
TUESDAY 6:15-7:45 PM | Instructors: Molly, Rose, Lollo, Allison
THURSDAY 6:15-7:45 PM | Instructor: Sarah East Johnson
Explore and train with LAVA. This class will be attended and taught
by the company members of LAVA. Teacher approval required.

LAVA HANDSTANDS FOR ADULTS

Mixed-level class that builds strength, agility, and alignment through
the development of a handstand practice.

TUMBLING, ETC. FOR ADULTS
MONDAY 8:00-9:30 PM | Instructor: Gary Lai
SATURDAY 1:00-2:30 PM | Instructor: Gary Lai
Strength and flexibility are the focus as students build power, speed,
and air awareness. Students will learn skills that range from rolling to flipping.
Mini-tramp, floorwork and inversions from related arts are included.

TRAPEZE FOR ADULTS

FRIDAY 6:30-7:30 PM
This small, focused class includes warm-up, conditioning, and individual skill development, along with creative and compositional exploration.

The LAVA Studio is located in Prospect Heights at
524 Bergen Street (between 6th Avenue and Carlton).
Take the 2 or 3 to Bergen Street, the B or Q to
7th Ave, or any Atlantic Avenue subway.
PRICING AND REGISTRATION
Twelve-week sessions range from $235 to $325, with a 10% multi-class or family discount for the second
and each additional class individuals and families take. We offer work-study for adults and scholarships
and financial aid for kids, so no one will be turned away from classes for lack of funds. Check the box on the
registration form if you are interested in a scholarship or financial aid for your child.
To reserve your spot in a class, please send a deposit of $150 per class or full payment. The
remaining balance is due the first day of class. Fees may be paid in cash or check.
Please make checks payable to LAVA.
We will confirm your enrollment via email once we receive your
registration and payment.
CANCELLATION
We reserve the right to cancel a class if there is not
enough enrollment for a particular class. In the case of a cancellation
you will be offered another class or a full refund.
LAVA's performance and education programs are supported by Brooklyn Arts Council, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, LAVA's annual Handstand-a-Thon, Estelle's Choice, and numerous individuals.
