During the summer session, all classes are available for drop-ins at a
rate of $25/class. Register for any three single classes or more, and
each class is $20.*

Mixed-level class that builds strength, agility, and alignment through
the development of a handstand practice.
INTRO TO LAVA

Designed for beginners, this class is a great introduction to
LAVA's methods with acrobatics, trapeze, and composition.
CIRCUS YOGA

Circus Yoga blends the consciousness of yoga with the communal
celebration of circus, fostering connection, play, trust and skill
building through group games, flying partner yoga, partner
acrobatics, thai massage, circus skills and more. We invite adults to participate with their kids, and
welcome anyone aged 7 and up, including adults without kids.
TRAPEZE

Students will learn strength and agility on the trapeze while exploring
the creative possibilities for movement on the apparatus.
TUMBLING

THURSDAY 6:15-7:45 PM | Instructor: Gary Lai
Strength and flexibility are the focus as students build power, speed,
and air awareness. Students will learn skills that range from rolling to flipping.
LOCATION
AND DIRECTIONS
The LAVA Studio is located in
Prospect Heights at 524 Bergen Street (between 6th Avenue
and Carlton). Take the 2 or 3 to Bergen Street, the B or Q to
7th Ave, or any Atlantic Avenue subway.
PRICING
During the summer session, all classes are available for drop-ins at a
rate of $25/class. Register for any three single classes or more, and
each class is $20. The three (or more) classes can be any class, any week of the session. Take three classes in one week, a different class each week, nine classes throughout the session -- however you'd like to do it.
* Due to extended length, there will be an additional fee of $5 for each Friday 4pm class.
We
offer work-study for adults and scholarships and financial
aid for kids, so no one will be turned away from classes for
lack of funds. Check the box on the registration form if you are
interested in a scholarship or financial aid for your child.
CANCELLATION
We reserve the right to cancel a class if there is not
enough enrollment for a particular class. In the case of a cancellation
you will be offered another class or a full refund.

performance and education programs are supported by
Brooklyn Arts
Council, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Threshold Foundation,
Annual Handstand-a-Thon, Estelle’s Choice, Independence
Community Foundation, and numerous individuals.
